夫人. Louise Covington was born in Marlboro County, the daughter of the late Deacon Milton and Irene Williams Moore.

夫人. Louise was educated in the public schools of Marlboro County. She married her childhood friend Thomas Covington in 1938, in Marlboro County. From this union six (6) children were born: the late Thomas Covington Jr., Helen Marshall of NYC, the late Annette (longtime friend Ernest) Covington of NYC, Dr. 维拉 (the late Charles Henry) 戴维斯 of Hartsville SC, the late Flora Mae (Bishop Joe L.) Robinson of Hartsville SC, and Mary “Lib” 戴维斯 of Hartsville SC, 互相抚养, Delores “Lil Lisa” Ross of VA. One other sister Elouise Ross of NYC. They also had 16 grandchildren, 50个曾孙, and a host of great-great-grandchildren, 侄女, 侄子, 和朋友. 夫人. Louise Covington was a loving mother and grandmother, a caring, courageous, and strong individual. She raised her children to be the same, to look out for each other and to help others in need.

In 1947 they moved to Lydia, SC where 夫人. 露易丝加入了山. Tema Baptist Church under the guidance of first Reverend Young and then after his death the Right Reverend Reed. She was a member of the Missionary and Usher boards.

夫人. Louise became an employee of Mr. 和夫人. Arthur Mims of Lydia, SC from 1952 until she retired in 1969 and moved to New York City. She received the Holy Ghost in her latter years at the age of 72. She then joined Nazareth Apostolic Church in Jesus Christ Inc where she was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ by the Pastor Dr. 维拉米. 戴维斯.

Blessed with an abundance of love 夫人. Louise opened her home to many families where she provided love and security for as long as they needed a place to call home. 夫人. Louise was known as a person with a dry wit, 有趣的爱, and always wanting those around her to have a good time. She loved to feed people and no one ever left her home feeling hungry.

夫人. Louise Covington became deathly ill in November 1999 at which time the doctors gave her six months to live. But only God knows when it is our time to die. To God be the Glory – 夫人. Louise lived an additional 17 years longer than the Doctor’s prediction. She had many loving caregivers over the years, including Mary, Lena, Jackie, Maribel Mena, Ms. Dixon, and a special caregiver Millicent Pierce. Millicent adopted and cared for 夫人. Louise as her own mother and promised to care for her until either she or 夫人. 路易丝去世了. 上帝呼唤夫人. Louise home on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. She passed away at the home of her eldest daughter, Helen Marshall, with Millicent in attendance.

夫人. Louise lived a long and fruitful life caring deeply for her children, friends, and family. In the end when she could no longer take care of herself her children Flora, 维拉, and Lib stepped in the gap and cared for her just as she cared for them. Her daughter Helen Marshall is to be recognized and especially commended. When there was a need for 夫人. Louise to go into a nursing home, Helen took 夫人. Louise in her home instead and dedicated her life to caring for 夫人. Louise until her death.
